Win the order on paper first.

A supplier is judged on documents long before anyone sees a garment: the quote, the test report, the certificate, the inspection. This is the side of sourcing nobody builds software for.

The one job this page is about

Return the buyer's due-diligence pack the same day it is asked for.

How often it comes round
Every enquiry, every re-quote, every audit.
Skip it once
The order goes to whoever answered first, and a lapsed certificate is found by an auditor rather than by you.

Certification

The certificate is only as good as its weakest link.

A PDF looks like proof. Whether it covers this holder, this process and this shipment is five separate questions, and one no is a no.

  1. 1Exists

Is this certificate real, and is it live today?

A PDF of a certificate that lapsed last quarter looks identical to one that did not.

  2. 2Holder

    Whose certificate is it?

Held by the trading company or the group, not by the mill that will actually make your cloth.

  3. 3Scope

Does it cover this product and this process?

Valid for organic cotton when the order is a blend, or for weaving when you need dyeing.

  4. 4Transaction

    Does it cover this shipment?

A scope certificate proves the site is certified; only a transaction certificate ties it to your goods.

  5. 5Chain

Is every step in between certified too?

One uncertified converter in the middle and the claim on the finished product is gone.

A chain, not a checklist: four of five is not most of the way there, it is unproven. No scheme is ranked - the links hold for every certification body.

What a buyer is really reading

Three documents, and what each one is being checked for.

A buyer rarely says which of these decided it. These are the questions behind them.

THE QUOTE. Read for whether the price is complete rather than whether it is low - a quote missing trims, testing or a realistic yield is a price that will change, and a buyer who has been changed on once reads every later quote through that.

Naming the exclusions is a stronger position than hiding them. It moves the conversation from trust to arithmetic.

THE TEST REPORT. Read for the METHOD as much as the result. A pass against an unnamed method is not a pass, and the buyer's technologist will ask which standard, at which conditions, on which sample.

A report that names its method survives a challenge. One that only names a number has to be re-run at your cost.

THE INSPECTION. Read for what the sampling plan actually was. Accept and reject numbers mean nothing without the lot size and the level they were drawn against.

This is the one place a compute table beats an opinion: the plan determines the numbers, and the numbers are checkable.

A cloth, a trim, a hand. Everything else is paperwork describing it exactly enough to reproduce.

The problem

What this actually costs you.

Every buyer asks for the same evidence in a different format.

Certificate, test report and costing are re-cut per client from the same facts.

What we do

One source, many documents - the same truth in the shape each buyer asks for.

  • Print-quality PDF
  • Everything packaged together
  • Live certificate check

A certificate lapses and nobody notices until an audit.

Validity lives in a folder, and the first to check is usually your auditor.

What we do

Checked live against the official registry: status, licence number, scope, validity.

  • Live certificate check
  • Digital product passport
  • Verified factory directory

Costing is rebuilt every time an input moves.

Fibre, duty and freight move independently, each invalidating the quote you sent.

What we do

Commodity prices and trade data are read from source, so the costing is current.

  • Fibre commodity prices
  • Official trade and duty data
  • Fabric substitution
